Under the patronage of the Ministry of Justice, and as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Hope Iwacu Initiative implemented an awareness campaign engaging staff from Kigali Serena Hotel, Ubumwe Grande Hotel, and Radisson Blu Hotel.
The training covered front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, security, HR, guest relations, and management teams — strengthening the hospitality sector’s role in recognizing and reporting trafficking and gender-based violence.
The outcome: hotel staff better able to identify trafficking indicators, improved knowledge of reporting pathways, and stronger partnerships between government, the private sector, and civil society.
