With GIZ Rwanda’s Right-Based Programme (RBP), Hope Iwacu Initiative launched a National Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign in Kirehe District — one of Rwanda’s border areas facing heightened risk of trafficking and deceptive recruitment.
The campaign brought together government institutions, local authorities, law enforcement, civil society, youth, and community members.
The campaign will continue across Rwanda, engaging hotels and tourism establishments to strengthen their role in identifying and reporting suspected trafficking cases.
